Get your Shopify catalogue ready for EU customs
From 1 November 2026, EU customs require three product identifiers for every item in a parcel sent to an EU shopper: your own code (M-PID), the manufacturer's reference (NS-PID) and the retail barcode (S-PID) when one exists. PIDReady checks them on every variant of your store, together with the HS code and country of origin, and helps you fill in what is missing.
What PIDReady does
See what is missing
Every variant gets a clear status for M-PID (SKU), NS-PID (manufacturer reference), S-PID (barcode), HS code and country of origin. Placeholders such as N/A and barcodes with a wrong check digit are flagged.
Fix it in bulk
Edit values in a table, apply one value to many variants at once or import a spreadsheet (Excel or CSV). Changes can be undone from the history for 30 days.
Export for your carrier
Download a CSV with every identifier, in a universal layout or with the columns FedEx asks for. Variants you mark as having no barcode are exported with the exception customs expect.
Your data stays in Shopify
Values are saved in your own store: SKU, barcodes, HS code and country of origin in Shopify's fields, the manufacturer reference in a variant metafield. They stay even if you uninstall PIDReady.
Getting started
PIDReady is installed from the Shopify App Store and runs inside your Shopify admin. Already installed? Open it from Apps in your Shopify admin.
The free plan scans your whole catalogue, shows every gap and lets you fix variants one by one, plus bulk fixes for 25 variants every 30 days. Paid plans raise or remove that limit.
